Welcome! Week 1

Hi guys! For my first blog post I’m going to be introducing you to Greece. A little background about Greece is that it’s located in Southeastern Europe with various different islands throughout Aegean and the Ionian seas. Athens is the capital and has landmarks from back in the 5th- Century B.C. and it’s known for its nature and environment. The beaches are well known especially the Black Sands of Santorini, but besides the beaches there’s lots of natural disasters that occur some such as; earthquakes, volcanoes, and even fires.

So why did I decide to choose Greece? Well For starters, I chose Greece because not only is it beautiful but it has so much history behind it. I come from a Greek and Italian background so not only do I hope to help others gain knowledge on Greece but I hope to gain knowledge myself. Some interesting things I learned is that it’s known for being the Cradle of Western Civilization, it’s the birthplace of democracy and the Olympic Games, and the ancient history that comes with the ancient temples.
